Bitcoin was built on the shoulders of giants. Every once in a while it’s important to go back to Bitcoin’s roots and remember where revolutionary crypto all began, and it began with the anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. Who is Satoshi? Well, We are All Satoshi!
The anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto has now become legend. As depicted in this Satoshi golden statue created by the two Hungarian sculptors, Gergely Réka and Tamás Gilly.
Is Elvis still alive? Did Jim Morrison fake his death? Is Satoshi Nakamoto Nick Szabo, or perhaps the departed cypherpunk Hal Finney?
These answers are the stuff of legends, but nonetheless, we do know who the Cypherpunks were as referenced in the Bitcoin white paper (they were those giants whose shoulders Satoshi stood upon to create Bitcoin). And we also know that nature abhors a vacuum: the human imagination will fill in the gaps of history with their own mythic archetypes…
Satoshi has become one of them.
Myths and legends retell the stories of cultures’ collective inner-consciousness. What the world sees in Satoshi is the heroic revolutionary story of everything we wish to change about the broken monetary system we’ve no choice but to participate in. That is why we site the Bitcoin genesis block and its iconic reference to banking bailouts: it reeks of an abuse of power!
We are tired of theft by inflation where our buying power is thwarted by central bank money printing; and we have outgrown Keynesian economic models, which empowers only the strongest fiat currencies of the world, while other sovereign currencies are left licking their hyper-inflationary wounds.
We are All Satoshi because we see a future reclaimed by our sovereign selves, where our data is protected, our privacy is secured, and we foresee a peer-to-peer financial system where the rules don’t suddenly change at the behest of centralized plutocracies (as campaign financing laws and out-of-control lobbyist efforts are in desperate need of reform). We are All Satoshi because we are sovereign individuals willing to stand up for our freedoms and our digital rights.
Please watch this quick video by Anthony Pompliano reminding us that, indeed, We are All Satoshi!
